Get up to $26K for every employee you paid in 2020 and 2021.
Did you continue to pay your employees during the toughest pandemic times? You may be eligible for the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) and not realize it. The ERC has undergone a number of changes that are making it more lucrative and much easier for businesses to qualify. Even if you weren't eligible in the past or you received a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan, you may qualify under today's more flexible criteria.
What is the Employee Retention Credit?
The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a fully refundable payroll tax credit that rewards business owners for having kept employees on payroll during the heart of the pandemic. Eligible employers receive a refund from the federal government for payroll taxes on qualifying wages (including certain health plan expenses) paid to employees after March 13, 2020 and before Oct. 1, 2021 (or Dec. 31, 2021, for recovery startup businesses).
How do you qualify for the Employee Retention Credit?
The ERC is now easier than ever to qualify for. Even if you weren’t eligible in the past or you were previously excluded because you received a PPP loan, you may qualify under today’s more lenient eligibility criteria.
